Apex Legends' trios briefly doubled in size this week

A misconfigured waiter setting briefly saw Apex Legends' team sizes bumped adequate five at the come out of this hebdomad's Generation Collection Upshot—and while Respawn was prompt to fleck the takings, the developer hasn't statute off trying larger squads properly in the future.
Alongside the new narrow-fourth dimension cosmetics, this week saw the return of two classical maps to Apex Legends and a pretty hefty set of balance changes. That's a dish out to change in one day, though 1 fortuitous tweak saw players surprised to discover their teams were a smallish bigger than usual.
"We had a little misconfiguration on the server and all team was size of 5, should be super fixed now," current technical house decorator Aaron L wrote in response. "Not going to lie, that looks super playfulness for a game Oregon two."
Despite noting a count of 5, some players found themselves pushing over that with 6-person teams, leading to strange situations that saw whatsoever players cropped out of their own triumph screens.
Reaction to this bug has been astonishingly positive, with players on Reddit clamouring for it to be brought back in extraordinary forg Oregon another. Apex has previously experimented with differing team sizes too, with limited-time solo queues and a now-permanent duos mode.
L does promise to "make water sure the leads hears about this feedback", though he does note that this doesn't warrant we'll ever be dropping in 5-someone squads. Let's Bob Hope for the best, though—after all, I'd be far more confident in hot-falling Skulltown knowing I had five extra pairs of eyes watching my back
